During emergencies such as fires, earthquakes, or bomb threats, the lifts are immediately grounded, so it becomes a big challenge to bring bedridden patients down the stairs to safety. As a solution to this problem, we have manufactured an innovative product called the hospital evacuation chair, which can glide down the staircase effortlessly and take them downstairs to safety. During a fire, the critical time for evacuating people at a floor level is 2.5 minutes since fire and smoke can engulf the entire floor in minutes. The evacuation chair is a comfortable chair that moves effortlessly on wheels over flat surfaces and simply glides down the staircase. The hospital model evacuation/rescue chair is a single-operator model that can be easily operated by just one person. In addition to its glider mechanism, it is specially customised for hospitals with an IV holder, an armrest, and a pouch to hold the medical reports.
